Dienstag, 26.01.2010, in der Firma geht es auf und vor allem ab. Ich muss raus und wie durch Vorsehung habe ich eine Karte für Nickelback. Diese hängt schon lange an meiner Pinnwand, aber erst im Dezember habe ich erfahren, dass es für mich ein zusätzliches Highlight gibt: Daughtry ist die Vorgruppe. Ich freue mich also schon seit Wochen tierisch auf dieses Event und gerade heut kommt Ablenkung und "Kopf durchpusten" gerade recht. Zum Glück sind die Strassen frei und problemlos bin ich in Mannheim.
Kurz nach 8 geht es schon los und ich werde von Daughtry nicht enttäuscht, es ist klasse und alles ausserhalb des Saals verschwindet.

Daughtry spielt etwa 45 min, natürlich mit all ihren Highlights. Danach gibt es eine Umbaupause, die fast genau so lange dauert.
Dann legen Nickelback mit Feuerwerk los. Es ist fantastisch und Chad Kroeger macht zwischendurch seine Späßchen unter anderem mit einigen deutschen Brocken. Ich bin hin und weg, die Freude der Band springt über und ich singe und tanze begeistert mit. Die Showeffekte mit Feuerwerk und Pyrotechnik sind gekonnt und so ist das Konzert auch viel zu früh zu Ende, 90 min. am Stück, danach eine Zugabe, mehr ist (leider) bei Nickelback auch nicht drin.
